Access to station
- Situated on Station Road with separate entrances for each platform.
- Access to both platforms can be made from Station Road or via footpaths from Ponteland Road.
- The ramp from Ponteland Road to Platform 1 is long and has poorly defined resting places with no handrail.
- The ramp from Ponteland Road to Platform 2 is also long with no resting places and only a short length of handrail at the top. Towards the top of the ramp, wheelchair users must use a section of the car park access road to reach final ramp to Platform 2.
- Car parking is adjacent to Platform 2. There are 62 unclassified parking bays and 2 dedicated accessible bays. Kerbs are dropped at the Platform 2 entrance.
