Children Travel Free This August with Great British Summer Savings
The UK Government has announced that children aged 5-15 can travel free on participating buses across England throughout August, as part of its Great British Summer Savings initiative. Running from 1 to 31 August 2026, the scheme is designed to help families with the cost of days out this summer. Children must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult, and the offer applies to bus services only.

New Tide Tour open-top bus service launches for summer
A new open-top bus service is giving residents and visitors a new way to explore the North East coast this summer. The Tide Tour runs between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, connecting some of the region's best-loved seaside spots and attractions while offering spectacular coastal views along the way.
