The Mayor has committed to adult single bus fares ranging from £1.60 to £2.50, with commercial operators free to set their own prices for shorter journeys below the cap. The commitment also includes maintaining the region’s £1 flat fare for passengers aged 21 and under across all public transport, with the ambition for this to continue until 2028.
