Access to station
- Access to this station is via Newcastle Airport terminal only.
- The entrance to the station is located beside Domestic Arrivals within the Airport terminal.
- The Airport controls all access and parking at the station therefore it is best to set down car passengers wishing to travel on Metro at the next station, Callerton Parkway.
Access to ticketing concourse
- Ramp access with resting places and handrails down from the Airport terminal.
- Automatic doors are situated at top of the ramp.
Access to platforms
- Step free access category A: This station has step-free access to all platforms.
- Via gate-line, then by ramp with resting places and handrails down from the ticket concourse area.
- Automatic doors are situated at bottom of ramp and lead directly on to an island platform.
- Platform 1 is to left and Platform 2 is to right. However as this is a terminal station, trains for Newcastle and Sunderland via South Gosforth will arrive and depart from either side.
