Access to station
- The station is located on either side of Howdon Lane with separate entrances for each platform.
- Access to the station is via Martin Road to Platform 1 or directly off Howdon Lane to Platform 2.
- There are no parking facilities.
Access to ticketing areas
- Slight decline to Platform 1.
- Slight ramp up to Platform 2.
Access between platforms
- Step free access category B: This station has a degree of step-free access to the platforms, which may be in both directions or in one direction only – please check the Metro Access Guide for more details.
- Via Howdon Lane Level Crossing. Crossing is un-gated but has warning lights and sirens, take care before attempting to cross.
- Wheelchair users must also take care that wheels do not become stuck in rail grooves.
- There is a subway adjacent to the level crossing but this is below ground level and only accessed by stairs at either end.
