Shields Ferry timetable
The ferry service operates a regular 30 minute frequency from both sides of the river. The crossing between North and South Shields takes about seven minutes.

Please note that there will not be a replacement bus service to cover the usual evening service or early morning crossings.
Ferry tickets will be accepted on Metro on weekday evenings and early mornings until the ferry service resumes.
