Durham Book Festival
Durham Book Festival returns this October, bringing a programme of literature, culture and creativity to venues across Durham.
One of the UK’s longest-running literary festivals, Durham Book Festival has been celebrating writers, storytellers and ideas since 1990. Each year, the festival welcomes a diverse line-up of authors, performers and speakers, alongside a programme of live events, discussions and newly commissioned work.
Taking place at venues including Gala Durham, and locations across the city, the festival offers the chance to hear from established and emerging voices from the worlds of literature, history, journalism and performance.
Whether you’re a keen reader, aspiring writer or simply looking to discover something new, Durham Book Festival offers a packed programme of events in the heart of one of the region’s most historic cities.
