Durham Folk Festival
Experience a weekend of live music, culture and entertainment as Durham Folk Festival arrives in the city from 18-20 September 2026.
The festival will bring together folk, roots and traditional music from across the UK and beyond, alongside ceilidhs, workshops, talks, family activities and outdoor performances throughout Durham.
Taking place at venues across the city, including Redhills Durham Miners’ Hall, Durham Town Hall, Gala Theatre and Durham Cathedral, the festival will transform Durham into a vibrant celebration of music and storytelling.
Visitors can also enjoy street performances, traditional dance displays, family-friendly activities and unique experiences on the River Wear, making it a great day out for music lovers of all ages.
