You can buy single tickets direct from the driver, just state your destination when you board the bus. Single bus fares in Durham, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear are capped at £2.50.
Most bus operators also have discounted return tickets, saving you money on the cost of two single tickets – just ask the driver for details.
